Mike is a writer and comedian who has written extensively for BBC radio, including over 20 series of The News Quiz, as well as The Now Show, Joe Lycett’s Obsessions, The Museum of Curiosity, Lucy Porter in the Family Way, Dead Ringers, Domestic Science, Newsjack Unplugged, Rich Hall’s US Breakdown and even the Today programme.
Television credits include: Have I Got News For You, 2020 – Thank you, Next!, and Comic Relief. He is a very experienced joke-writer for high-profile touring acts, and has written for major events such as The BBC News Awards, The BBC Radio & Music Awards and Women in Global Entertainment at the Cannes Television Festival. His scripts for theatre and film have been selected and received awards at international festivals, and he has a number of projects currently in development.
In 2017 he was awarded the BBC Radio Comedy Writers’ Bursary.
